Safeguarding
At GEMS International School (GIS), safeguarding is a top priority.
Our Safeguarding Policy is fully aligned with UAE Federal Law no. 3 of 2016 (Wadeema’s Law) and international best practices, ensuring the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and community.
The school's dedicated Safeguarding Team, led by a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), oversees the implementation of all safeguarding protocols. All staff are extensively trained to recognize and report concerns through the GEMS Safeguarding Referral system, ensuring that every individual in our care feels safe, supported, and valued.
Supported by the GEMS Central Safeguarding Team, GIS maintains consistency in safeguarding practices through training, case management, and community engagement, fostering a secure and protective environment for all.
